'A good home court can make a good team great.' Kenny Brooks encourages the BBN to fill up Memorial Coliseum

Gone are the days of the big curtains blocking the entirety of the upper level at Rupp Arena for women’s basketball games. Instead, Kenny Brooks and his team will be filling seats in Memorial Coliseum this season. With the Kentucky women’s basketball team moving back to Memorial, the atmosphere for games is going to improve significantly.
When you couple that with how good this year’s team should be, Memorial Coliseum should be one of the best arenas in the sport. On What’s Next Podcast, Brooks talked about what you, the fan, can expect when you make it to Memorial Coliseum.
“You’re gonna expect the kids, first and foremost, they’re going to give their utmost effort,” Brooks said. “That’s going to relate to excitement, a camaraderie. You’re going to feel connected with the kids. When you feel connected like that, I always say a good home court can make a good team great.”
To add to that, Memorial alone should be an experience for the fans to be excited about. Again, it should be one of the best environments in women’s college basketball next season.

“I think with the support we’re going to get, everyone’s going to have a wonderful experience, and Memorial — that’s going to generate a few more points for us a game. In the tough SEC, you’re going to need every point you can get.”
Brooks concluded with, “I think this is going to be a tremendous, tremendous family atmosphere. It’s going to be a lot of fun. I think there’s going to be a lot of memories made. So, come on out. Bring a friend. Tell your friend to bring a friend, so on and so forth. It can be one of the best home court advantages for women’s basketball.”
