Are you still awake? Did you make it through the various camera angles? If so, then you need a halftime update.

Kentucky heads into the locker room with a 24-0 lead over Southern Miss in the Wildcats’ season opener. Transfer quarterback Brock Vandagriff has shown plenty of flashes in his debut as a starter — 9-13 through the air for 106 yards with two touchdowns and one tipped-pass interception. He also has five carries for an extra 35 yards on the ground.

Elsewhere, Demie Sumo-Karngbaye has 56 rushing yards on seven carries while true freshman Jason Patterson came in for a drive to tack on 28 yards on four carries. Barion Brown has four receptions for 28 yards and touchdowns while Dane Key hauled in three catches for 60 yards.

On defense, Kentucky has two interceptions. Three Wildcats have three tackles: Zion Childress, JJ Weaver, and D’Eryk Jackson. Weaver and Tre’Vonn Rybka recorded a sack each. UK has given up just 118 total yards to the Golden Eagles.

Below is the halftime box score. Keep in mind that halftime is only 10 minutes tonight due to the late start.
