Hamidou Diallo signs two-year, $10.4 million deal with Detroit Pistons

Former Kentucky wing Hamidou Diallo is $10 million richer.

Diallo, a restricted free agent this offseason, has signed a two-year deal with the Detroit Pistons worth $10.4 million. The deal was first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The 23-year-old was moved to Detroit in a midseason trade with Oklahoma City last year, averaging 11.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in 23 minutes per contest with the Pistons. Overall, Diallo averaged 11.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 52 games for the Thunder and Pistons in 2020-21.

In his lone season at Kentucky, Hamidou Diallo averaged 10.0 points and 3.6 rebounds per contest while starting in all 37 games as a redshirt freshman. The 6-foot-5 guard scored in double figures in 16 games, topping the 20-point mark three times.

He was selected No. 45 overall by the Brooklyn Nets and traded to the Thunder in the 2018 NBA Draft.
