Kentucky WR target Hardley Gilmore visits Miami

Pahokee (Fla.) High wideout Hardley Gilmore is one of the top remaining targets on Kentucky’s recruiting board. A commitment will be arriving soon, but the competition is not slowing down.
On Friday, Miami hosted the four-star prospect for an unofficial visit as the Canes are looking to close ground in this recruitment.
On Monday, Gilmore named Kentucky, Penn State, and UCF his top three schools and announced that he will be committing on Aug. 25. The former class of 2025 prospect reclassified to 2024 late in the process and completed just three official visits in June. However, Miami is now deciding to throw its hat in the ring.

Gilmore is the No. 276 ranked prospect in the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking and the No. 48 wide receiver. Kentucky received the first official visit and is now attempting to close on the blue-chip prospect. However, new competition has emerged.
Kentucky currently has 14 commitments in the class of 2024. David Washington Jr. is the only wide receiver in the class. The Wildcats currently have just eight scholarship wideouts on the roster in 2023. UK needs to add multiple wide receivers this recruiting cycle. Gilmore is a key target and a recruiting battle the Cats need to win.
