There has not been much transfer portal noise for Kentucky outside of the Hunter Dickinson buzz that emerged earlier this week. On Saturday, a potential target for the Wildcats ended his recruitment.
Stanford transfer Harrison Ingram has committed to North Carolina to play for Hubert Davis in the ACC.
The former top-25 recruit in the class of 2021 out of Dallas spent two seasons in the Pac-12 playing for head coach Jerod Haase at Stanford. The Cardinal missed the postseason in both years with Ingram on the roster. The 6-7 wing can play some point forward as Ingram ranked second in the Pac-12 in assist rate (28.8%) last season, according to KenPom. Ingram finished his sophomore campaign averaging 10.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in 27.9 minutes per contest. The transfer is a career 31.6 percent three-point shooter on 3.5 attempts per game.

Ingram picked North Carolina over Baylor, Kansas, Texas A&M, and Xavier. The versatile wing will enter a lineup that features guard RJ Davis and big Armando Bacot. Hubert Davis has been busy in this year’s portal also adding Notre Dame guard Cormac Ryan and Louisville forward Jaelyn Withers to the roster. The Tar Heels are looking to bounce back after missing the NCAA Tournament last season.
John Calipari connected with Harrison Ingram earlier in his transfer recruitment, but nothing ever truly developed with Kentucky and the former McDonald’s All-American. Now everyone will officially shift into Hunter Dickinson watch when the Michigan transfer begins his visit to Kentucky on Sunday.
