In case you missed it, Roush had some great content from UK's football scrimmage yesterday. If you haven't already, check out all the good things happening during Spring practice.
We're just 5 nights away from Kentucky's Spring Game, and we'd be lying if we said we aren't excited.
For our SEC West rivals, things aren't going so well. Mississippi State held their annual Spring Game on Saturday, which was seen on the SEC Network.
While the Bulldogs displayed an improved defense, the game ended prematurely after a player had to be ejected for "targeting".
Yes, you read that correctly. A Mississippi State player absolutely destroyed a fellow teammate.
Jonathan Abram, a new transfer safety for the Bulldogs, targeted running back Bennie Braswell on a pitch play. Braswell required medical attention following the hit, as head coach Dan Mullen ejected Abram and abruptly cut the Spring Game short. For any coach at any level, this type of incident has to be a nightmare.
It's a safe bet that Jonathan Abram will face disciplinary actions from the team. You never want to see teammates playing with the intent to injure each other. While that surely wasn't Abram's intent, it's not the way Dan Mullen wanted to end his day.
