High school football games across the state postponed/canceled due to weather
Hurricane Helene has made her way to the Bluegrass. High Wind Warnings have been in place since Friday morning with schools and universities across the state canceling classes to help keep everyone as safe as possible. With canceled classes comes the inevitably of canceled (or postponed in some instances) high school football games.
We’re beginning to see that happen more and more today as the storms continue to rage on. Dozens of games originally scheduled for Friday night were bumped up to Thursday night. Luckily, nearly all of those games were played with only one forfeit by Shelby County. But now, the Friday night games are experiencing changes (we’ve already seen one college football game between App State and Liberty canceled, too).
