Highly-ranked OT Jonathan Daniels schedules Kentucky OV for this weekend
Jonathan Daniels is one of the top-ranked players in the entire country — regardless of position. The 6-foot-4, 275-pound offensive tackle is considered a five-star recruit and the No. 11 overall prospect from the class of 2024, according to On3’s individual rankings. More notably, he’ll spend this coming weekend in Lexington for an official visit.
KSR can confirm that Daniels will be at Kentucky for an OV from June 9-11, a significant development ahead of an important weekend for the program. Zach Blostein of 247Sports was first to report the news on Monday morning.
The Pensacola (FL) Pine Forest product also has official visits locked in with Georgia (June 16) and Florida State (June 23). Daniels was initially scheduled to OV at LSU over the weekend, but he canceled that trip due to a family emergency.
Kentucky reached out to Daniels with a scholarship offer back in February, which he received from defensive line coach Anwar Stewart, but he’s been on the Wildcats’ radar since at least the fall. Daniels has been on unofficial visits already this year to the likes of Florida State (which received an RPM to land him in March), Florida, Auburn, LSU, and Georgia.

Playing both sides of the ball as a sophomore and junior, Daniels is one of the most intriguing lineman prospects in all of high school football. Below is what On3 wrote about his game and upside as a college player.
“Possess a gorgeous frame and is the perfect piece of clay collegiate strength and conditioning coaches crave to mold in their programs. Shows quality burst and twitch in his movements. Plays with a terrific base in pass protection. Flashes some brute strength at the point of attack. Can play a little over his toes in the run game and get a bit out of control at times. High upside prospect if he is able to refine his movements.”
Daniels now highlights an already busy weekend of official visitors for Mark Stoops’ club.
