On a weekend when many commits and recruits visited Lexington, the ‘Cats got a huge win over Mississippi State. Three-star commits such as S Jaremiah Anglin (Lake Wales, FL), OT Malachi Wood (Madison Central, KY), and IOL Koby Keenum (Florence, AL) were among those in attendance Saturday night. Here’s how some of those commits did Friday night.

Boyle’s Ziesmer Continues Bid for Mr. Kentucky Football

Tommy Ziesmer is a freak of nature. The in-state Boyle County star EDGE rusher had eight tackles, two tackles for loss, and one sack in a 36-0 drumming of Anderson County on Friday night. In eight games this season, Ziesmer has accumulated 42 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and five sacks. He has been a nightmare in opposing backfields and has been a big factor in Boyle County’s 7-1 record. Another one of those factors has been sophomore WR Montavin Quisenberry, who went viral this weekend for a play he made against Anderson County.

Quisenberry is only a sophomore but has quickly become one of the most electric high school football players in the state of Kentucky. The ‘Cats officially became Quisenberry’s third offer this weekend, joining Louisville and Eastern Kentucky. Can Boyle County join Frederick Douglass (Dane Key, Dekel Crowdus, Jager Burton) and North Hardin (Jordan Lovett, La’Vell Wright, Octavious Oxendine) to become another pipeline school for UK? We’ll probably have to wait a few more years, as Quisenberry’s best football is ahead of him and it’s probably too early to cast him to the ‘Cats.

Two Commits Selected to All-Star Game

Over the weekend, it was announced that three-star RB Khalifa Keith (Birmingham, AL) and three-star IOL Koby Keenum were selected to the 36th annual Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game. Keenum seemed to have enjoyed his visit this weekend, posing for pictures with Big Blue Wall members Tashawn Manning, Eli Cox & John Young. Keenum is rated as the #3 center in the nation.

Anglin’s Last-Ditch Effort to Recruit 4-Star DB to Kentucky

Joining three-star safety Jaremiah Anglin on an official visit this weekend was four-star defensive back Ja’Keem Jackson, who has been committed to Florida since late July. Although he is committed, it seems like Kentucky may still be trying its hardest to change Jackson’s mind. He is the #20 CB in his class and is right outside the top 150 players in the nation. Jackson was spotted wearing Kentucky blue alongside Anglin, maybe signaling that the door may still be open. Ja’Keem’s brother Markevus is a member of the Kentucky track and field team.

Three-Star Moorman Returns to Action

After missing Franklin County’s last three matchups, three-star RB commit Kaden Moorman returned to action Friday night in a 55-0 drumming of Waggener. It seemed as if the Flyers’ head coach was trying to get Kaden re-acclimated to game action, as he only saw two carries. Although he was limited, Moorman scored touchdowns on both of his touches, finishing with 35 yards total. He’s dealt with nagging injuries all season, which have contributed to somewhat of a down year production-wise. When he has been healthy, however, he looks shot out of a cannon.

Dixon Puts Up Another Ridiculous Stat-Line

Kentucky’s coaching staff taking a gamble on three-star WR Jakob Dixon out of Pleasure Ridge Park has looked like a home run so far. In the Panthers’ matchup against DuPont Manual (#3 in KSR’s Week 8 Kentucky High School Football Rankings) Friday night, Dixon hauled in a season-high 12 receptions for 98 yards and two touchdowns. He has absolutely terrorized opposing 6A defenses this season, hauling in 45 receptions for 797 yards and 12 touchdowns in eight games.

Kentucky currently has the 34th-ranked recruiting class in the country, according to On3.
