How Tay Kinney, Kentucky targets performed at day one of the 2025 adidas Eurocamp

The 2025 adidas Eurocamp is underway in Treviso, Italy.

A handful of Kentucky men’s basketball’s favorite targets made the trip overseas to showcase their talents and develop their games against some of the best young talents (aged 16-22) in the world. Six teams make up this year’s event, which runs from May 31 to June 2, including one consisting of several high school prospects high on the Wildcats’ radar. Scouts from nearly every NBA team expect to be in attendance.

Team 3SSB Select includes the likes of Tay Kinney, Deron Rippey Jr., Caleb Holt, and Anthony Thompson — class of 2026 recruits all being recruited in some fashion by UK. Those four took the floor on Saturday for the first day of games, beating out Team Next Gen by a final score of 107-86. All four Kentucky targets scored at least nine points in the win, combining for 45 points on 51.4 percent overall shooting.

• Kinney: 11 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 turnovers, 18 minutes | 4-10 FG, 1-3 3PT, 2-4 FT
• Rippey: 12 points, 8 assists, 4 steals, 1 rebound, 1 turnover, 23 minutes | 5-9 FG, 0-1 3PT, 2-3 FT
• Holt: 13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 steals, 3 assists, 3 turnovers, 23 minutes | 6-11 FG, 1-3 3PT
• Thompson: 9 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, 1 assist, 1 turnover, 12 minutes | 3-5 FG, 1-2 3PT, 2-2 FT

All four of these talented high school juniors are considered among the nation’s best. Kinney (6-2, PG) is ranked No. 18 overall in the 2026 cycle, Rippey (6-2, PG) is No. 19 overall, Holt (6-5, SG) is No. 5 overall, and Thompson (6-8, SF) is No. 13 overall. Kinney, Holt, and Thompson have all announced Kentucky offers are considered top targets, while Rippey is lower on UK’s Big Board at this time.

Team 3SSB Select will be back in action on Sunday for another round of games. This time, the opponent will be Team Eurocamp 1, a squad made up entirely of international prospects, including a handful of 2025 NBA Draft hopefuls. Team 3SSB Select will close out the event on Monday with the two best teams from the opening days battling it out for the championship.
