Inaugural Kroger KSR Hometown Classic Features Jackson County at Shawnee
The 2022 Kroger KSR Hometown Classic features Jackson County traveling to Louisville to take on Shawnee. The inaugural bowl game was scheduled for last season but canceled due to COVID. We’re back on for Friday night in the Derby City for a heartwarming story of community and solidarity.
The two teams faced off in October of 2020. Shawnee was having difficulties scheduling a home game. Jackson County reached out and agreed to play the Golden Eagles 143 miles from their southeastern Kentucky home. The event captured the hearts of the Commonwealth.
The football game was a showcase for what’s good and right about Friday nights. Kroger is dedicated to being about Community. So is KSR. We are honored to partner in order to bring you this year’s bowl game.
