Indiana stormed the court again.
Bloomington’s t-shirt and popcorn box producers will be working overtime this weekend after Indiana Basketball fans stormed the court again. This time, Hoosier fans trampled each other and Assembly Hall’s floor after beating rival Purdue last night. Purdue, a team that already had two losses in the Big Ten and opened as a… *checks notes*… 2.5-point favorite in the game.
Watch how Indiana—a blue-blood program, allegedly—reacted to the win on their home floor against a team the Hoosiers have beaten 89 other times in history. Before you do, you should know the embarrassment you will feel for Kentucky’s old college basketball adversary is natural. It’s sad they’re too unaware to feel the embarrassment themselves.
Adding to the embarrassment, it hadn’t even been three years since Indiana’s last court-storming. Late in the 2019 season, Indiana stormed the court after beating Michigan State in Assembly Hall. Adding to that embarrassment, Indiana beat Michigan State at Michigan State a month earlier, so it wasn’t even an upset. It was Indiana’s second home win over a ranked team that week.
Do they even know they used to be respected and contend for national championships? Or is beating Purdue at home in the regular season the new championship at Indiana?

With the way they’ve been acting (and playing), the Hoosiers don’t deserve the Kentucky rivalry anymore. Indiana isn’t worthy of a Kentucky game and they’ve done it to themselves.
Back in the day, Bob Knight would’ve thrown a chair at any Indiana fan treating the Purdue game like a Final Four win.
You used to be better than this, Indiana.
