INJURY UPDATE: Optimism surrounding Kenneth Horsey
A pregame injury forced Kenneth Horsey to miss the game against Georgia. Despite the setback, the initial prognosis for the offensive lineman is positive.
“Things are good. I said after the game that things appear to be going well. I told you I’d update it today. Again, things seem to be positive as it relates to his health, not finalized yet,” Mark Stoops said Monday. “I can’t say anymore than that, other than it’s looking good and (we’ll) continue to make sure we check all the boxes and make sure the young man is taken care of properly.”
Horsey had 14 straight starts until game one of the 2022 season. He kicked out to left tackle and started in nine straight games at the position until the untimely injury about 20 minutes before kickoff against Georgia. Deondre Buford filled in for Horsey and played well. The Kentucky offensive line allowed only one sack and five tackles for loss against one of the country’s defenses.

DeAndre Square has now missed consecutive games for the Wildcats. The super senior from Detroit has been considered “day-to-day” for over a week after he suffered an injury against Missouri. It’s probably safe to assume he’s going to gut it out to play in one final game at Kroger Field.
Wide receiver Tayvion Robinson played against Georgia, albeit sparingly. Stoops said Robinson was banged up, “not 100%” healthy. He may be slowed down, but it sounds like Robinson will be available for the season finale against Louisville.
