Is it possible that Elsa Vadfors redshirts? 'We still haven't made the decision on what we want to do.'

Kentucky got a 16-point victory over Morehead State on Monday, and while there’s a lot to talk about with the game itself, there’s also a discussion to be had about Elsa Vadfors.
When Vadfors originally committed to Kentucky, she was an unknown commodity. The 6-foot-5 Swedish freshman didn’t really produce a ton overseas, and after arriving on campus later than everyone else, she was limited in practice for a while, just sort of doing individual work off to the side.
Point being, we still don’t know much about Vadfors. In fact, we don’t even know if she’ll play this season.
Vadfors did not dress out against Morehead State, and there were no official reports or even rumblings of an injury that would have occurred in practice. So, what’s up with her?
It turns out that Vadfors could end up getting a redshirt this season. In basketball, you can’t even play a second if you want to keep your redshirt, whereas in football, you can play in four games. So, in the postgame press conference, KSR asked Kenny Brooks if Vadfors was going to be redshirted.

While he didn’t say yes, he also didn’t say no.
“We still haven’t made the decision on what we want to do,” Brooks answered. “Obviously, she got here late, and we’re just trying to get her acclimated in each and every way, and we’ll be careful before we make a decision on what we want to do with her.”
If Vadfors doesn’t play this season, that’s one more piece that Kentucky won’t have at their disposal on the bench. They’re already thin at the five, so it’ll be interesting to continue to monitor this situation as we move forward.
