Isaiah Briscoe leads Trilogy to back-to-back BIG3 championships
Isaiah Briscoe is making quite the name for himself in the BIG3.
On Sunday afternoon, the former Kentucky shooting guard helped lead his Trilogy team to a dominating 51-35 win over Power in the league’s 2022 championship game. It was the second straight BIG3 title for both Briscoe and Trilogy, which also won the 2021 championship.
Briscoe finished with 21 points, six rebounds, two assists, and one steal, including the game-winning layup to put Power away for good. He made sure to give the crowd a goodbye wave, too.
Briscoe (who played at UK from 2015-16) was joined in the scoring column by former Louisville forward Earl Clark, who led Trilogy with 22 points to go along with his eight rebounds and four blocks. Former NBA veteran Amir Johnson added eight points and 10 rebounds.
Earlier this week, the 26-year-old Briscoe was tabbed to the inaugural BIG3 All-Star game (as was fellow former Wildcat Jodie Meeks), which preceded the championship contest on Sunday afternoon in Atlanta, GA. He was the Week 5 Player of the Week and averaged 19.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per outing for Trilogy on the season while shooting 44.6 percent overall from the field.

Trilogy has now won three of the five BIG3 championships since the league first began. They are also the first team to win back-to-back titles. Not a bad summer for Briscoe, who will likely try to work his way back onto an NBA roster this coming season.
If you aren’t familiar with the BIG3, it’s a 3-in-3 basketball league that was founded in 2017 by rapper/actor Ice Cube. The organization consists of 12 teams with the majority of players being former NBA players past their respective primes. Games are played in a halfcourt setting and utilize a “four-point shot” that is located 30 feet from the basket.
