Kentucky finds itself in the wide receiver market again in the spring transfer portal with Louisville Tech wideout Tru Edwards in eligibility limbo. Hardley Gilmore IV has rejoined the team after a cup of coffee at Nebraska during the spring semester. Could Isaiah Spencer join them?

The Jackson State transfer entered the transfer portal on Wednesday and almost immediately received a scholarship offer from Kentucky wide receivers coach L’Damian Washington.

Isaiah Spencer is a former Southern Miss commit who started his college career in the FCS. As a true freshman in 2023, the Madison (Miss.) Central product recorded 24 receptions for 207 yards and one touchdown. Spencer backed that up with 35 receptions for 660 yards and four touchdowns as a sophomore. After spring practice wrapped up, Spencer became a free agent with two years of eligibility remaining.

Baylor, California, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia have also issued scholarship offers to the spring transfer. Kentucky currently has 12 scholarship wide receivers on the roster after adding J.J. Hester (Oklahoma), Kendrick Law (Alabama), and Troy Stellato (Clemson) to the roster in the winter transfer portal window.
