John Calipari, Rick Pitino mentioned in new Jack Harlow song
Jack Harlow’s new album, “Come Home The Kids Miss You,” dropped this morning, and we’ve got another Kentucky Basketball reference to pass along. In the track “I’d Do Anything To Make You Smile,” the Louisville-based rapper — who cheers for the Cards — mentions both John Calipari and Rick Pitino.
“Hotels five-star like they play for Coach Cal, but they call me young Pitino cuz I’m good in both towns.”

This is not the first time Harlow has mentioned Kentucky Basketball in his music. Friends with Tyler Herro, the rapper named a song after the former Wildcat back in October 2020. The previous April, before he shot to superstardom, Harlow made a guest appearance on Kentucky Sports Radio and explained why he roots for Louisville over Kentucky.
“There was a window, there was an opportunity for me to be a Kentucky fan. My dad went to UK,” he explained. “I grew up growing to Freedom Hall games, my grandfather would take me to those games. I’m from Louisville specifically so I always thought there was something special about representing the specific city I’m from.”

Even if the Grammy-nominated artist chose poorly, we appreciate the pub. Thanks for not mentioning the Saint Peter’s loss.
“Churchill Downs” track with Drake drops ahead of Kentucky Derby
Also included on the album is a track titled “Churchill Downs” featuring Drake, who roots for Kentucky (in addition to many other programs). The timing couldn’t be better. Tomorrow, Harlow will announce the traditional “Riders up” call at the Kentucky Derby. Just another cool moment for a kid who never misses an opportunity to rep his hometown.
