Jacob Toppin, Lance Ware, Sahvir Wheeler taking part in holiday toy drive

Christmas is right around the corner, and three Kentucky Wildcats are doing their part to spread some holiday cheer. Jacob Toppin, Lance Ware, and Sahvir Wheeler are partnering with White, Greer & Maggard Orthodontics (WGM) on the “Braces & Basketball Holiday Toy Drive.” The collected gifts will be presented to the foster children of Sunrise Children’s Services at a private event hosted by members of the team.
For every toy dropped off in one of the program bins at any WGM location and for every $20 donated to Sunrise Children’s Services via their website (with “Braces & Basketball” in the comments section), the donor will receive one entry to win one of several items signed by Toppin, Ware, and Wheeler.
“Every child deserves a reason to smile this time of year,” Sahvir Wheeler said. “I feel so honored that I can use my position as a college basketball player to bring joy to kids across Kentucky this holiday season. I appreciate WGM asking me to be part of the program and look forward to playing Santa when the donated gifts are presented to the children and families of Sunrise Children’s Services.”

“We could think of no better partner than members of the basketball team to help us in spreading smiles this holiday season,” said Dr. Brent Maggard. “Creating the toy drive to further serve our community and brighten this time of year for the children of Sunrise Children’s Services was a no-brainer. We are excited for our patients and community members to join us in giving back.”
Information about the program, including an Amazon Wish List, a list of WGM drop-off locations, and a link to donate directly to Sunrise Children’s Services can be found at wgmortho.com/braces-and-basketball. The program runs from November 16 through December 7.
