Oregon is rising favorite for blue-chip tackle Jac'Qawn McRoy
Jac’Qawn McRoy is near the top of Kentucky’s recruiting board in 2024. Unfortunately, a Pac-12 team is emerging as the favorite.
On Tuesday, two recruiting insiders logged a Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) pick for the blue-chip offensive tackle to land at Oregon. That gives the Ducks a 92.7 percent chance at landing the top-200 prospect, according to On3’s RPM.
The Pinson (Ala.) Clay-Chalkville offensive lineman took an unofficial visit to Kentucky in March and has locked in an official visit (June 16) with the Wildcats. Jac’Qawn McRoy also has official visits locked in with Ole Miss (June 2), Arkansas (June 9), and Oregon (June 23).

The Ducks have a lot of steam in this recruitment.
“Oregon has been my dream school,” McRoy told On3 in February. “It is not about this, but I love how they wear different uniforms. I like the program and I like what they offer in sports management. That is what I want to major in. They have been one of the schools recruiting me hardest.”
Kentucky has some ground to cover. The program needs to add multiple tackles to the roster this offseason. McRoy has been one of the top options over the last few months.
Recruiting never stops.
