Four-star LB Jaden Robinson commits to South Carolina
Things are happening in college football recruiting. Right after getting a commitment from three-star tailback Khalifa Keith on Monday afternoon, Kentucky saw a prominent defensive target go off the board to an SEC East foe.
Lake City (Fla.) Columbia linebacker Jaden Robinson has committed to South Carolina over Florida, Kentucky, Maryland, and Michigan.
Robinson is the No. 377 prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. The 215-pound off-ball linebacker is a top-50 player at the position and a top-75 prospect in Florida.
South Carolina now has 13 commitments in the 2023 recruiting cycle with six top-500 recruits. The Gamecocks currently own an average star rating of 87.84 which has them trending towards a top-25 class.

Kentucky must find another option on their recruiting board at linebacker. However, there seem to be some quality candidates after top-300 prospect Grant Godfrey and high three-star recruit Marcellius Pulliam both took unofficial visits to Lexington in June. Each could return this fall for an official visit.
The Fourth of July weekend has been very busy in college football recruiting, and developments are occurring rapidly. Expect that to continue as the week progresses with multiple announcements with key Kentucky targets scheduled.
