Jadon Lafontant, 3-Star Offensive Lineman, Commits to Kentucky
An imposing interior athlete is joining the Kentucky offensive line. A few days after officially visiting the University of Kentucky, Jadon Lafontant announced he will be a Wildcat.
Jadon Lafontant is a 6-foot-3, 315-pound interior offensive lineman from Old Greenwich, Connecticut. He chose the Wildcats over Pitt, Boston College, Duke and Vanderbilt.
The three-star prospect was not on the Wildcats’ radar until recently. Liam Coen made the trip to his old stomping grounds with Scott Woodward to give Lafontant a scholarship offer in May. During that trip to the Brunswick School, UK also offered his teammate, Matty Augustine, a 2025 offensive tackle ranked in the On300.
Jadon Lafontant is the third interior offensive lineman to commit this offseason. He joins two instate prospects in the 2024 recruiting class, Hayes Johnson and Aba Selm. Florida tried to convince the latter to officially visit, but he ultimately turned down the Gators. The Wildcats are still in the market for offensive tackles. Five-star Jonathan Daniels and top 200 prospect Jac’Qawn McRoy have taken official visits.

Jadon Lafontant wowed the Kentucky coaching staff during his official visit to Lexington. From a size and strength standpoint, he checks all of the boxes. Additionally, Lafontant is light on his feet. He shows off his athleticism in the spring on the wrestling mat, consistently advancing deep in the Connecticut state tournament in the 285-pound division.
The athleticism is evident on tape. Jadon Lafontant shows a fundamental approach to a variety of blocks in his highlight reel. He can pull down the line, reach an opponent and easily get to the second level on combo blocks. The offensive guard does not disappoint in pass sets either. There’s a lot to like about this big, versatile interior offensive lineman.
