Jalen Rose says John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins played for the 2015 Kentucky team, Jay Williams and David Jacoby agree
Look, we’re all prone to mistakes; here at KSR, it wouldn’t be a day if we didn’t make five, ten, or even fifteen of them. But, we’ve gotta call out ESPN’s Jalen Rose, Jay Williams, and David Jacoby for a pretty egregious error this afternoon.
On today’s Jalen & Jacoby, Rose asked if the 2014-15 Kentucky team that went 38-1 was the one that had John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins on it. Instead of correcting him, his colleagues agreed.
The clip, from Awful Announcing:
I know zero about David Jacoby, so I’ll give him a pass. Jay Williams is part of the College GameDay crew and has been on Kentucky’s campus multiple times over the years — wearing a John Wall jersey, nonetheless — so he should certainly know better. And Rose? In 2014, he was rumored to be in talks to join Kentucky’s staff as an assistant, so you would think he would know who was on the team.
Oh well. I’m sure plenty of people are reminding them now.
