Kentucky's Jamal Murray was named SEC Freshman of the Week after averaging 18.5 points and seven rebounds in wins at Arkansas and over Vanderbilt. It is the second time he has taken SEC Freshman of the Week honors, giving him the lead over Skal Labissiere and Isaiah Briscoe, who have one apiece this season. Florida's Dorian Finney-Smith edged out Tyler Ulis for Player of the Week in the conference in a very tight race. Finney-Smith averaged 22 points and 10.5 rebounds in wins over Mississippi State and Auburn, while Ulis averaged 22.5 points and five assists while shooting 57 percent from the field and 57 percent on three-pointers in Kentucky's two wins. We will give Ulis the Kentucky Sports Radio SEC Player of the Week award to make up for it.
