Jared Casey is taking his talents to Bloomington. The former Kentucky linebacker announced on Twitter that he is committed to Indiana. Casey entered the transfer portal on Nov. 30 and has three seasons of eligibility remaining.

Casey was a former four-star prospect in the 2019 class, ranked No. 302 overall and No. 34 among linebackers in the On3 Consensus. The Louisville native was originally committed to Oregon but ultimately signed with Kentucky over the Ducks, Wisconsin, Cincinnati, Louisville, Purdue, and Syracuse.

Casey recorded nine total tackles and one QB hit in 12 games this season. As a redshirt freshman in 2020, he had 20 tackles, including 2.0 for loss in 11 games. He recorded one tackle as a true freshman in 2019.

Best of luck to Casey in his next chapter.
