It seems KSR blogger Jeremy Jarmon does have talents beyond his command of the written word. (If I was a written word, I'd totally listen to his commands. Dude is huge.) The former Wildcat and current Redskin has caught the eye of the local media in Washington, and they've had plenty to say about Jarmon (#76 above).
On Jarmon being a '
Camp Stud':
Jeremy Jarmon. Love how quick his hands are; much better of a player than I ever would have imagined. Now hearing he would have been a second-round pick next season. He needs to increase his number of pass-rush moves, but the Redskins appear to have a promising player to eventually replace Phillip Daniels.
On his
prospects for the future:
Most promising » The future pass rush. Between Brian Orakpo and Jeremy Jarmon, the Redskins have two young pass rushers with talent. They'll pair nicely with Albert Haynesworth.
Of course, he's still a rookie, which means a couple of things. First, his defensive coordinator
doesn't talk to him.
"I don't talk to the rookies," defensive coordinator Greg Blache said, when asked about Jeremy Jarmon's personality. "I don't talk to the new guys, I really don't, until they make the football team. It's hard enough when you have to cut guys that you've gotten to know and been around, so consequently I don't get close to the new people until we make the final cut. When we make the final cut, then I'll get into knowing some of the guys."
Also, he gets
hazed just like anybody else.
Albert Haynesworth, Cornelius Griffin and Phillip Daniels led a posse of veterans who tied up 11 rookies after the afternoon practice, the last one of camp, and then doused them with ice water.
Receivers Keith Eloi and Marko Mitchell, fullback Eddie Williams, offensive linemen Scott Burley and Edwin Williams, defensive linemen Antonio Dixon and Jeremy Jarmon, linebackers Cody Glenn and Darrel Young and defensive backs Doug Dutch and Lendy Holmes were today's victims.
Somehow quarterback Chase Daniel and tight end Robbie Agnone have escaped the treatment.
Despite being one of the
five SEC players that will be missed the most this year, Jarmon's transition to the NFL is going smoothly and he looks to be on the way to a successful life in the league.
