The Kentucky boys will be representing the Bluegrass State on the world stage. Jasper Johnson and Malachi Moreno, two of Mark Pope’s three prized signees in 2025 and natives of Lexington and Georgetown, respectively, have been named to the 2025 Nike Hoop Summit.

One of the most prestigious recruiting all-star events held annually — it joins the McDonald’s All-American Game and Jordan Brand Classic as the best of the best — USA Basketball announced Johnson and Moreno as two of 12 players representing the United States in the world showcase on Saturday, April 12 in Portland, Oregon.

Kentucky is one of two schools with multiple players in the event, joining Duke (three).

Johnson was a member of the 2024 Men’s U18 National Team that won gold at the FIBA U18 Men’s AmeriCup in Buenos Aires while Moreno will make his USA Basketball competitive debut.

The final 2025 USA Men’s Nike Hoop Summit roster includes:

It’s the 26th annual Nike Hoop Summit, which features the best men’s and women’s players in the United States taking on a World Team of top international players ages 19 and younger.

The 2025 USA Women’s Nike Hoop Summit roster includes LSU pledge ZaKiyah Johnson out of Shelbyville, KY while Kentucky five-star commitment Kaelyn Carroll was snubbed. Darriana ‘Dee’ Alexander, Sienna Betts, Aaliyah Chavez, Aaliyah Crump, Jasmine ‘Jazzy’ Davidson, Alexandra Eschmeyer, Madison Francis, Grace Knox, Emilee Skinner, Jordan Speiser and Hailee Swain are the others representing the United States.

The 2025 Nike Hoop Summit will be televised live on USA Network and streamed on Peacock with tip-off for the women’s game scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET followed by the men’s game at approximately 10:00 p.m. ET.

There are more senior accolades where that comes from for the Kentucky boys — plus plenty on the way for Acaden Lewis (and maybe Caleb Wilson?) to round out future Wildcats.
