Jasper Johnson was named to the All-OTE Team then broke the league's assist record

Jasper Johnson is racking up the accolades before making his way to Lexington.
On Thursday, Johnson was one of 10 players named to the All-Overtime Elite Team for the 2024-25 season. And what did he do to celebrate? Drop an OTE record 14 assists the very next day in a 100-82 win for RWE over Fear of God Athletics in Game 1 of the first round of the playoffs. The Kentucky commit tacked on 19 points, six rebounds, two steals, and two blocks while playing all 32 minutes in the victory.
Johnson’s teammate on RWE, four-star 2026 guard Tay Kinney, was also named to the All-OTE Team. Kinney is a native of Newport, KY who is being heavily recruited by the Wildcats, although he was ruled out for Friday night’s postseason game. But Johnson clearly had no problem picking up some extra playmaking duties.
