Jasper Johnson showed out at the Iverson Classic

Incoming Kentucky guard Jasper Johnson has been hitting the All-Star game circuit all spring. After making appearances in the McDonald’s All-American game, the Jordan Classic, and the USA Nike Hoops Summit, Johnson took his talents to the Iverson Classic over the weekend.
Johnson erupted for 17 points, five rebounds, and four assists in the Saturday night showcase, putting together an impressive highlight reel. From alley-oop dunks, to step-back 3s, to no-look passes, Johnson was deep in his bag, giving Kentucky fans a lot to look forward to next season.
There’s something about watching him throw down thunderous left-handed dunks that reminds me of John Wall’s high school mix tapes. I’m not saying Jasper Johnson is the next John Wall, but skinny guards who throw it down left-handed with regularity are a rare breed.

In the era of the portal, it is easy for a star freshman to get lost in the sea of transfers, but Big Blue Nation got a good one in Jasper Johnson, and he’s going to bring electricity to the court. No one is going to overlook this guy.
