The first true road game of the Kentucky basketball season falls on a special day for Jaxson Robinson. No. 2 turns 22 today.

Through seven games, the BYU transfer ranks fourth on the team in scoring, netting 12.0 points per game on 44.3% shooting from the floor. He’s scored in double figures in four contests, hitting four three-pointers against Jackson State and tallying a team-high 20 points against Lipscomb.

Robinson is a high-volume shooter who has played well but has yet to go nuclear. The stars may align tonight for him to join an elite company of Kentucky Wildcats who have been at their best on their birthday. With the help of Corey Price, here are just a few of the best performances by Wildcats on their birthday.

Kentucky Wildcats Who Starred on Their Birthday

The most recent big winner on his birthday was Antonio Reeves. The sharpshooting transfer from Illinois State knocked down all three of his three-point attempts and was 7-9 from the field in a 20-point performance on his 23rd birthday. Kentucky needed all 20 of those points to knock off St. Joe’s 96-88 in overtime last year on Nov. 20.

Reeves backed up that birthday success in the NBA. Playing his first significant minutes for the New Orleans Pelicans, he scored a career-high 34 points last month on his 24th birthday.

Before Kentucky rang in the New Year in 1984, Melvin Turpin rang the Purdue Boilermakers’ bells on his 23rd birthday. The 7-footer was dominant, scoring 22 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in a 19-point win over the 18th-ranked team in the country at Freedom Hall.

Not even Taylor Swift can say they had a better 22nd birthday than Wayne Turner. The Kentucky point guard finished his career with the most NCAA Tournament game appearances (151) in the history of the event. Back in 1998, he turned 22 on the day Cameron Mills hit the Shot Heard Round the Bluegrass. The Comeback Cats overcame a 10-point halftime deficit to Duke to win 86-84 and advance to the Final Four in San Antonio. Turner had 16 points, 8 assists, and 2 steals while bottling of Wojo in the win.
