Jaxson Robinson is being recognized as one of the best wings in all of men’s college basketball.

It was announced Wednesday by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame that Robinson is one of 10 players named to the 2025 Julius Erving Small Forward of the Year Watch List. This award goes to the nation’s top small forward. Robinson is one of three SEC players to crack the Watch List.

Kentucky is in the midst of a tough losing stretch right now, having dropped four of its last five games, but Robinson has continued to produce in spite of that. This season, he’s averaging 13.6 points and 3.6 rebounds in 29.2 minutes per contest while shooting 43.8 percent from the field and 38.1 percent from beyond the arc — both career-highs for the fifth-year graduate student. He’s started all 22 games for the Wildcats.

Robinson, who followed head coach Mark Pope to Kentucky from BYU after spending his previous two seasons in Provo, has been even better since SEC play began.

It was an up-and-down start to the Oklahoma native’s career in Lexington, but he’s been consistent since the turn of the new year. Across nine conference games, Robinson is averaging 16.1 points and 3.0 rebounds in 30.7 minutes per game, shooting 48 percent overall and an elite 47.9 percent from deep on nearly eight attempts per contest. He scored his 1,000th career college point on Jan. 4 in a home win against Florida.

Fans have the option to vote for the Julius Erving Small Forward of the Year, which begins on Friday, Feb. 7, and can be accessed through hoophallawards.com. The top player selections from the fan vote will receive an additional vote toward making the next round. The Top 10 list will be narrowed to five players in March with the eventual winner chosen by the Hall of Fame’s selection committee composed of media members, head coaches, sports information directors, and Hall of Famers.
