During his radio call-in show Monday night, Mark Pope wasn’t sure if Jaxson Robinson would be good enough to play Tuesday against Tennessee. A couple of hours later, his fears were proven right.
The SEC’s Availability Report has Robinson officially listed as OUT when No. 15 Kentucky hosts the No. 5 Volunteers tomorrow inside Rupp Arena. The fifth-year guard is dealing with a wrist injury on his shooting hand he suffered during Friday’s practice. Robinson was clearly not at full strength in Kentucky’s win over South Carolina on Saturday, and it appears to still be an issue a few days later.
But if you’re looking for some good news, starting point guard Lamont Butler is listed as probable, meaning he’s more than likely going to suit up against Tennessee. Butler returned to the floor against the Gamecocks after sitting out the previous three games due to a shoulder injury.
Meanwhile, backup point guard Kerr Kriisa was once again listed as out. There was speculation online throughout Monday that Kriisa was participating in practice and could be a game-time decision for Tuesday’s game. Pope quickly shot down those rumors on his radio show, adding he doesn’t expect to see Kriisa back any time soon.

“Kerr was not practicing today,” Pope confirmed. “I would love to let that hang out in the air, but he wasn’t. He’s still a ways away. We’re still hoping that we make progress but we’re still a ways away.”
As for Tennessee, JP Estrella is listed as out while Felix Okpara is probable. Estrella appeared in just three games this season before suffering a season-ending injury while Okpara has started all 24 games for Tennessee this season as the team’s starting center.
A final Availability Report will be released roughly two hours before Tuesday’s tipoff, which is set for 7:00 p.m. EST on ESPN.
