We interrupt your Monday afternoon to tell you Louisville does, in fact, suck again.

Well, they haven’t stopped sucking. And today’s news certainly won’t help there.

Jayden Quaintance, who backed out of his pledge to Kentucky following John Calipari’s move to Arkansas, will not be a Cardinal. Louisville media members swore up and down the five-star forward was a lock following his official visit and certainly after his trip to Memphis was canceled — the Tigers were seen as the top threat with FedEx helping out on the NIL side.

Arizona State threw its hat in the ring with a last-second Hail Mary effort, scheduling its own visit with the 16-year-old standout and his family this weekend. And Bobby Hurley didn’t let Quaintance leave without signing.

The top-10 prospect announced his commitment to the Sun Devils this afternoon, crushing the hopes and dreams of folks anticipating a ReviVILLE in the 502.

So not only was Coach Cal unable to bring his “prodigy with a unique combination of strength, agility, skill and size” with him to Fayetteville — the Razorbacks were ruled out last week — but neither was Pat Kelsey on the rebound effort.

It’s a best-case scenario for Kentucky, truly. If he wasn’t going to be a Wildcat, you didn’t want him to become a Razorback or Cardinal. Now, he’s a Sun Devil.

Hell of a decision, JQ. We wish you nothing but the best here in Lexington.
