What’s better than one commitment on a Wednesday? Two commitments on a Wednesday.

Kentucky football got to double-dip on Hump Day. After landing high three-star tailback Tovani Mizell, defensive backs coach Chris Collins got into the mix by adding high three-star defensive back Jiquavious Marshall into the fold. The Wildcats have added four players to the 2024 recruiting haul this week.

I don’t think Mark Stoops and his coaching staff aren done playing Yahtzee yet this week.

Jiquavious Marshall is the No. 539 ranked prospect in the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking. The Macon (Ga.) Westside rising senior visited Kentucky last week and was scheduled to take an official visit to Georgia Tech (June 23-25). Florida State previously hosted the 6-foot-4 defensive back for an official visit. Florida, Michigan, and Nebraska were also involved in this recruitment.

While the position for Marshall at Kentucky is unclear at the moment, the top-75 prospect in Georgia played wide receiver and cornerback in high school. The Wildcats have been looking for more size on the perimeter for their zone-heavy scheme, and Marshall could have the prototypical build to play boundary cornerback in Kentucky’s scheme.

The Peach State native is the eighth scholarship addition in the 2024 recruiting class and only the second on defense joining fellow Georgia native Antwan Smith.
