Kentucky cornerback Quavo Marshall will enter transfer portal

The spring transfer portal window does not open until Wednesday, but the expectation was that news would start to slowly leak out before college football free agency officially begun in April. We knew that Kentucky would need some more roster attrition to get down to 85 scholarship players after losing 21 scholarship players to the portal in December.
Kentucky cornerback Jiquavious “Quavo” Marshall will be a one-and-done at Kentucky. The Macon (Ga.) Eastside product will enter the transfer portal, his agent Kobi Jones told KSR. The redshirt freshman with four years of eligibility remaining will join former teammates offensive tackle Anfernee Crease, offensive lineman Daniel Mincey and defensive lineman Kendrick Gilbert in the the portal on Wednesday.

Quavo Marshall is the second Kentucky defensive back to enter the transfer portal joining Avery Stuart (Ball State). Marshall is the fourth member of UK’s 2024 high school signing class to enter the portal joining Mincey, Hardley Gilmore IV (Nebraska), and Caleb Redd (Kansas). The former three-star recruit sat out last season with a injury. The 6-foot-4 cornerback has four years of eligibility remaining.
Kentucky currently has 16 scholarship defensive backs on the roster.
