Kentucky basketball has scholarships to fill. Two high school prospects are now on the radar. Joey Hart and Jordan Burks are two players to monitor moving forward.

Linton (Ind.) Stockton grad Joey Hart decommitted from UCF on May 11. John Calipari’s staff is working quickly to build a relationship with the three-star prospect. Jeff Goodman is reporting that the three-point specialist will be in Lexington next week for a visit.

Hart is receiving legitimate power conference interest late in this recruiting cycle and Kentucky is looking to potentially add the shooter to the bench next season. Hart had reported offers from Ball State, Drake, Indiana State, Loyola-Chicago, Northwestern, and Wichita State before committing to UCF back in August. Hart signed with the Knights in November, but was given a release in May.

Kentucky currently has only seven scholarship players on the roster. There is still room to add multiple players before the Cats head to Canada in July for international competition. Hart could become the sixth freshmen to join the roster.

Hart could be joined in Lexington by Jordan Burks. The top-200 recruit was released from his letter of intent with Ole Miss in March after a coaching change occurred in Oxford. Travis Branham of 247 Sports is reporting that Burks will join Hart on campus.

Burks had offers from DePaul, Mississippi State, and Xavier before committing to Ole Miss. Kentucky is looking for high school prospects with options limited in the transfer portal.
