Screen Shot 2015-09-11 at 9.57.07 PM Ninety-nine percent of the time, John Calipari comes off as a confident, swaggy man. Tonight, he was humble. When he walked on to the stage tonight as a Hall of Famer, he admitted the moment overcame him. "This seems surreal to me," Cal said. "This is bigger than me."  Cal thanked everyone who's ever been connected to him, right down to his high school coach. He thanked his college coach. He thanked his in-laws. He asked all of his former staff and players to stand. After chronicling his journey, Cal finally came back to Kentucky. "Then I received the call all coaches wait for," Cal said of the call from Mitch Barnhart. "Always wondered how I would do at a place like that. I wanted to know on the biggest of big stages." "I coached the greatest group of kids in my time that anyone could have ever imagined," Cal said, inviting all of his former players up with him on stage. It was a powerful moment: Screen Shot 2015-09-11 at 10.12.01 PM To give you an idea of how big that group is, here's a pic from Lee K. Howard, who was in attendance: [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="599"] @HowardWKYT[/caption] He closed with this: "By creating relationships with others, investing in their dreams and aspirations, you become a dream fulfiller. What's better than that?" Video coming soon.
