John Calipari expected to visit versatile 4-star PF Alier Maluk on Monday
One of the top high school sophomores is expecting a visit from John Calipari.
According to multiple reports, the Kentucky men’s basketball head coach is set to visit four-star power forward Alier Maluk out of Imani Christian Academy (PA) on Monday. Maluk is a versatile 6-foot-10, 180-pounder from the class of 2025. He’s considered the No. 16 overall sophomore in the country, according to the On3 Consensus.
This isn’t the first time we’ve mentioned Maluk’s connection to Kentucky, either. He first heard from the Wildcats when he was a 15-year-old high school freshman. Maluk is the cousin of 7-foot-2 center Bol Bol, who currently plays in the NBA with the Orlando Magic.

Since the beginning of August, Maluk has taken unofficial visits to the likes of Duke, West Virginia, and nearby Pittsburgh. He does not yet hold an offer from the Blue Devils but has earned scholarships from the likes of Seton Hall, Texas A&M, NC State, LSU, and Auburn. Maluk took part in the USA Basketball Junior National minicamp last week and continues to establish himself as one of the top recruits in the nation.
Kentucky has only offered one class of 2025 recruit so far, five-star SG Darryn Peterson, who is ranked No. 6 overall by the On3 Consensus. Maluk could be next in line to receive an offer.
