John Calipari and Pat Adams, sitting in a tree...
Saturday’s win in Rupp Arena was the fun Big Blue Nation needed on the final home Saturday of the regular season. The start wasn’t ideal, but the Wildcats regrouped and ran Alabama out of Lexington with a nine-point victory and a clean sweep of the regular season series versus the Tide.
However, there was one moment before the comeback when tensions were running a little high. Calipari was upset over the officiating crew’s decision-making and it led to a face-to-face between Calipari and one of his favorites, Pat Adams.
After the game, Calipari said, “Somebody said Pat (Adams) and I went nose to nose. I like Pat, he’s a good guy. He charged me but I’m good.”
Calipari, a big Pat Adams guy. (RIP, NJT)
