In his pregame conversation with Tom Leach, John Calipari warned fans that Penn would test Kentucky. The Quakers gave the ‘Cats their best today in Philadelphia, cutting a 16-point Kentucky lead to one five minutes into the second half. Thankfully, Kentucky eventually pulled away to the 81-66 win thanks in large part to Aaron Bradshaw, who finished with a double-double in just his second game back from injury.

After the game, Calipari spoke with reporters to break down the win. He discussed Bradshaw’s big game, the importance of rebounding, being the winningest active head coach in Division I college basketball, and much more.

Calipari did plenty of reflecting on his past experiences in Philadelphia, as well. He was also joined by Bradshaw and fellow freshman DJ Wagner at the podium. Both Bradshaw and Wagner are from the Philly area, with Bradshaw having an especially big game in front of friends and family.
