Remember when the UofL scandal news broke in February and John Ramsey (aka Captain Suntan) accused a Louisville PR firm of leaking news to Matt? The PR firm, RunSwitch LLC, sued Ramsey and his cohost Mike Rutherford for defamation in March, and
this afternoon, the two apologized for the matter on air:
Rutherford:"I'd like to take a moment to revisit a matter we discussed on February 16 regarding the PR firm RunSwitch. In response to an inquiry on Twitter that day about a rumor that RunSwitch had something to do with a leak of the UofL postseason suspension news to a Lexington radio host, we made some comments. In retrospect, we should not have done that."
Ramsey: "As it turns out, after the show, RunSwitch contacted us and adamantly denied being the leak. The Lexington radio host stated that while he had a total of three moles on the story, RunSwitch was not one of them. We regret and apologize for any role we might have played in repeating rumors about RunSwitch PR and its owners Scott Jennings and Steve Bryant."
The suit is still pending, but one would imagine this apology is part of a settlement. Here's Jennings' reaction on Twitter:

And the audio so you can hear it for yourself (the apology starts at the 1:23 mark):
