Kentucky Sports Radio has a fun Friday planned for its radio show listeners. We’re taking the broadcast to Whiskey Thief Distilling outside of Frankfort, Kentucky, for three hours of radio, beginning with the KSR Preshow at 9 a.m. At 10 a.m., KSR will spend two hours previewing Kentucky’s game against Gonzaga and lots more.

For the crowd at Whiskey Thief, the distillery has a lot planned around KSR’s radio conversations, including a complimentary KSR-branded Glencairn whisky glass to the first 50 listeners through the door. There will be additional door prizes, free distillery tours, and a special bourbon tasting after the show. The whiskey-thieving experience is also a must-see as it is the first and only of its kind in the Bluegrass.

To find the distillery, head to 283 Crab Orchard Road in rural Franklin County, just off I-64 at Exit 48. Don’t let the winding road deter you; when you’re on it (if it is Crab Orchard Road), you’re on the right path toward Whiskey Thief.

This is one of KSR’s favorite remote shows, and we are excited to get back on Friday. Hope to see you there. Doors open at 8 a.m. for the very early birds.

Flashback: KSR at Whiskey Thief in 2023

Around this time last year, KSR was at Whiskey Thief on the Friday before Kentucky hosted Tennessee at Rupp Arena. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist stopped by to join the show and hang out with Kentucky fans, part of his bourbon collaboration with Whiskey Thief for his Change & Impact organization. Unfortunately, MKG cannot attend Friday’s remote as he was just in town last weekend for Kentucky vs. Tennessee. However, we still expect another fun day on the farm.
