The current recruiting dead period in February is just about to end. A new live recruiting period will arrive in March and unofficial visits can be resumed when that arrives. But just around the corner is official visit season in June.

That is when the real push for commitments will be made. Kentucky locked in a visit date for a key target on Monday. Four-star athlete Jordan Crutchfield will be in Lexington from June 6-8. Louisville is scheduled to get Crutchfield on campus for an official visit one weekend after.

The Fort Pierce (Fla.) Westwood product received an offer from Kentucky on May 9 during his sophomore season. Linebackers coach Mike Stoops and co-defensive coordinator Chris Collins are pursuing the four-star prospect that UK is recruiting as a cornerback. Crutchfield was on campus for a Kentucky camp last summer.

Texas A&M, North Carolina, Georgia Tech, Penn State, Auburn, Boston College, and Louisville all offered the two-way prospect in January. Kentucky is hopeful that the early interest will help them in the pursuit of this Sunshine State native.

Kentucky currently has four prospects locked in for official visits.
