Former LSU guard Justice Hill now plays wide receiver for Murray State
In 2023, Justice Hill traveled to Lexington to face off against the Kentucky Wildcats. That meeting occurred at Rupp Arena as a guard at LSU. Just over a year later, Hill will return to Lexington to compete against the Kentucky Wildcats as a wide receiver.
The former basketball player is giving football a try for the first time since high school. Justice Hill is finding some success on the gridiron.
Through 10 games on gridiron, Hill leads the team in touchdown receptions (two) while ranking second on the team in targets (51), receptions (20), and receiving yards (255). The wideout has also chipped in 46 rushing yards on five carries. The basketball player is playing football for the first time since 2018 after joining the Murray State roster just weeks before the 2024 season began. At Little Rock (Ark.) Christian, Hill won the 2018 Gatorade Player of the Year after passing for 3,084 yards and 37 touchdowns as a senior.
Justice Hill decided to pursue basketball and spent two years at Murray State playing for head coach Matt McMahon. Hill was a starter on the 2021-22 squad that won 31 games, earned a No. 7 seed in the NCAA Tournament, and reached the second round before losing to Saint Peter’s. Hill scored 34 total points in those two postseason games.

After McMahon took the LSU job, Justice Hill followed his coach to the SEC and averaged 5.6 points per game in 2022-23 before finishing his collegiate basketball career at Loyola-Marymount. Hill played in 113 college basketball games at three schools scoring 1,029 career points. Now the former guard is trying to score touchdowns.
Justice Hill will complete the rare double-dip on Saturday as a player to compete against Kentucky in both football and basketball.
