Justin Edwards‘ rise in the rankings this summer will be music to the ears of Kentucky fans.

On Tuesday afternoon, the folks over at Rivals released an updated version of the 2023 high school basketball player rankings. There wasn’t too much movement among the top 15 at this stage in the cycle (outside of AJ Johnson’s breakout summer), but we did see Edwards take another small jump in his ranking.

The 6-foot-7 Kentucky commit swapped spots with five-star combo guard DJ Wagner, slotting Edwards at No. 2 overall and Wagner at No. 3. Wagner has been a major target of head coach John Calipari for years now.

Elsewhere in the rankings, Kentucky point guard commit Robert Dillingham fell one spot from No. 5 to No. 6 overall while his future Wildcat teammate, Reed Sheppard, fell one spot to No. 22 overall while maintaining his five-star status.
