Justin Edwards recruiting DJ Wagner, Aaron Bradshaw to Kentucky
Kentucky men’s basketball is on the verge of hauling in the program’s best recruiting class in years. One of the players already locked in is helping out any way he can on the recruiting trail.
According to Alex Karamanos of The Circuit Scouting, five-star Wildcat commit Justin Edwards is actively recruiting a couple of high-profile Kentucky targets: five-star teammates DJ Wagner and Aaron Bradshaw. Edwards called the pair “a package deal”.
In the 2023 class, are there some guys you are actively recruiting to come play at Kentucky with you?

According to the On3 Consensus, Edwards is considered the No. 2 overall prospect in the ’23 class, Wagner No. 1, and Bradshaw No. 14.
Edwards is one of three current commits from the 2023 class for Kentucky, joining four-star combo guard Reed Sheppard and five-star point guard Robert Dillingham. The group is considered No. 1 overall in the country, per the On3 Consensus, and has the chance to get even better with the addition of Wagner and/or Bradshaw.

Wagner has been widely considered the top-ranked prospect from the ’23 class for years now. Kentucky had long been viewed as the clear frontrunner before Louisville went out and hired Kenny Payne. The ‘Cats are still thought to be the leader though, but the competition has clearly heated up for the 6-foot-3 combo guard.
As for Bradshaw, he was once believed to be a heavy Kentucky lean before delaying his decision earlier this summer. His recruitment has gone relatively silent since then, but UK is still involved with the G League Ignite program looming.
Let’s hope Edwards has a strong pitch.
