Kavosiey Smoke will look different entering his fourth season in Lexington. The Kentucky running back will no longer wear No. 20. He’s dropping the deuce to rock No. 0.
Smoke will become the first Wildcat with a single-zero jersey number. Previously prohibited from a college football field, ahead of the 2020 season the NCAA changed the rule to allow No. 0 in an effort to cut back on duplicate numbers.

Mark Stoops’ football team officially reports to preseason camp Thursday, Aug. 5. Smoke was one of many who were on campus early to snap a few photos in uniform before the work begins. J.J. Weaver looks ready to play after suffering a season-ending ACL injury in November of 2020.
