Kentucky offers BYU wide receiver transfer Keelan Marion

Kentucky is in a eligibility holding pattern with the NCAA in regards to currently Louisiana Tech transfer Tru Edwards. The Cats might not have the All-CUSA wide receiver on the roster in 2025. That has created a need at the position. The Cats addressed that need by adding Hardley Gilmore IV to the team but they might not be done at the position. BYU transfer Keelan Marion could be an option.
The Big 12 transfer entered the portal this weekend. Scholarship offers then started to roll in immediately. Kentucky has officially entered the chat.
SMU, Miami, Arizona State, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Florida State, Baylor, Tennessee, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Wisconsin have also offered Keelan Marion. This expected to be a highly competitive recruitment in the spring window.

The six-foot and 195-pound wideout started his collegiate career at UConn before transferring to BYU in 2023. Keelan Marion recorded 24 receptions for 346 yards and one touchdown in 2024. The Loganville (Ga.) Grayson product has played over 1,500 offensive snaps in his career and has one year of eligibility remaining. The biggest value the transfer could bring is as a kick returner. Marion earned first-team All-American honors after averaging over 26 yards per return with two touchdowns in 2024.
Kentucky appears to be in the wide receiver market in the spring portal after adding Kendrick Law (Alabama), J.J. Hester (Missouri), and Troy Stellato (Clemson) in the winter portal window. Keelan Marion has emerged as a target.
