Keion Brooks named SEC Player of the Week
Kentucky Basketball walked away empty-handed when the SEC passed out its Player and Freshman of the Week awards last week. Kentucky’s exclusion snapped a five-week streak of at least one Kentucky Wildcat taking one of the league’s two weekly awards. Thanks a lot, Auburn.
But this week Kentucky is back in the mix thanks to Keion Brooks’ career performance in the win at Kansas. With a career-high 27 in the Phog and 12 against Mississippi State as the appetizer, Brooks was awarded the SEC Player of the Week award.
