The calendar turned to July on Tuesday. That means the Fourth of July holiday is right around the corner but this month also means another summer tradition that gets many people excited. Mid-July means the release of EA Sports College Football. The next video game in that immensely popular series drops on July 10.

Before that arrives, we are starting to get some leaks about the new game. We now know who will be the fastest players in the game. Kentucky again has another player in this group.

Alabama transfer Kendrick Law is the 10th-fastest player in this year’s game. Former Kentucky receivers Barion Brown (LSU) and Jordan Anthony (Arkansas) were also included in this top-10. Law could be a fun player to run four verticals with on this year’s game.

The former top-100 recruit from Louisiana, Kendrick Law spent three seasons in Tuscaloosa and brings 33 career catches to Lexington. Law ran track in high school and clocked 10.48 seconds in the 100m at the state meet during his junior campaign. The wideout got some kick return action at Bama. The same could happen at Kentucky.

The senior with one year of eligibility remaining is expected to have a big role in Kentucky’s offense. The speed both in the video game and in real life could give this offense a much-needed explosive play generator.

KSR Scouting Notebook: Kendrick Law

The former top-100 recruit spent three seasons at Alabama. Law was never a top receiver for the Crimson Tide, but was always part of the rotation playing inside and out. Brings kick return experience to Lexington. Projects to play the slot position at UK.

Law is a wideout with a rocked-up build. Could use improvement getting in and out of breaks. Was a factor for the Tide in the jet sweep game and looks comfortable with the ball in his hands as runner. Shows some YAC creation out of the short passing game due to strength and ability to run through tackles. North/south runner in the open field. Owns absolute tenacity as a blocker and can bury defensive backs.

True slot receiver with a physical play style. Run-and-catch receiver who can consistently turn short passes into efficient gains
