Kentucky had a big need at EDGE entering the winter transfer portal window after losing J.J. Weaver, Tyreese Fearbry, Noah Matthews, and Caleb Redd off the 2024 roster. The Wildcats quickly addressed that position by adding USC transfer Sam Greene.

Defensive coordinator Brad White has found another transfer to fill a big role in 2025. Kent State transfer Kameron Olds committed to Kentucky on Sunday. The MAC transfer had taken visits to Georgia Tech and Nebraska. Ole Miss was scheduled to get the Mid-Atlantic native on campus this weekend.

Kameron Olds (6-4, 240) started his career at Buffalo in 2022 and played in 21 total games for the Bulls. Olds transferred to Kent State after a coaching change at UB and had a career year as a junior. The outside linebacker recorded 42 tackles, seven tackles for loss, six sacks, and 29 pressures in 474 defensive snaps. The transfer will be a true senior with one year of eligibility remaining in 2025.
